As a young man, it is still so strange to me when people with whom I went to high school send me wedding announcements or, even stranger, baby photos. I mean, at 19, I really don't believe anyone should be having children, or committing to someone for the the rest of their lives.
What's really struck me, though, is what happened a few weeks ago with the advent of gay marriage in LA. I mean, friends of mine, acquaintances, people I barely know, are getting married en masse. Peter and Joe are two wonderful men I know who recently got married, but it seems that every time I go to an event in West Hollywood, there is a wedding proposal.
There is justice in this world. Slow moving, reluctant to change justice.
